Chief Android Engineer, Monzo

Monzo is looking for seasoned, product-aware Android engineers to join their team. You will focus on users the way you think, and you will have a passion for a great user interface and user experience. You will understand the need for fluid, tested code that is balanced against the need to move fast and redundant.

Monzo is building a bank for and with its users. They see themselves as something more than a typical checking account: they set out to solve all the problems that exist around financial life in a coherent and meaningful way.

You’ll be working on a product that’s already a part of the daily lives of over a million people, and your work at Monzo will shape the way people interact with their finances.

There are 12 Android engineers at Monzo and they are looking for another one to join the team. They have many non-graduates. Some of them only studied computer science; Some worked in large companies. Some have only worked for start-ups; Others are former advisors. As long as you enjoy learning new things, Monzo will love talking to you.

At Monzo, you’ll work with industry-standard tools and technology – and help define what Android engineers look like.

Mobile Software Engineer, Seed

Seedrs is the UK’s most actively funded equity crowdfunding platform for private companies, with over £1.5 billion invested in campaigns and over 1,450 deals funded.

The company allows all kinds of investors to invest as little or as much as they like in the business they believe in and to share in its success. Seedrs also allows ambitious companies in all sectors to raise capital and build community through an efficient online process.

Seedrs is based in London, with staff in Lisbon and Berlin. They are backed by tier 1 institutional investors and VCs, as well as more than 4,000 of their users.

Seedrs is looking for a mobile software engineer with over three years of experience who feels comfortable talking about high-level product concepts as well as deep technical details. They want someone who is passionate about modern technology, code quality, and scalable engineering.

The ideal candidate will have experience working and developing large scale B2C mobile applications. You will have a strong focus on best practices and a perspective on how to achieve them in a rapidly growing team.

You will join the Mobile team and work with various stakeholders across the company including the Product, Technology, Sales and Investment teams. You are expected to play an important role in helping the team to be as efficient as possible.

Seedrs want you to be one of the leading voices in making technology decisions within the team, as well as developing a technology ecosystem across the company.

Compliance Officer, Klarna

Klarna was founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 2005. The company currently serves more than 90 million consumers worldwide, and partners with 250,000 merchants – with a new merchant joining it every 8 minutes. Their offices are spread across 17 different markets, and they are hosted by more than 5,000 employees from more than 100 nationalities.

Do you want to be part of a growing international compliance team, working for one of the largest fintech/turbulent banks in Europe, that wants to revolutionize the financial industry? If so, Klarna is looking for new members to strengthen its compliance team.

General work experience (three to six years) in the financial services sector is a requirement; And most importantly – you must be passionate about compliance.

You must have excellent English language skills anywhere; Swedish language skills will be a bonus. It is important that you have the ability to prioritize and be comfortable working independently, but also with others on your team and around working remotely in other countries.

You must have integrity, be ambitious, proactive, action-oriented, and be an excellent communicator.
