General purpose of the job

Providing potential clients and clients with quality technical support in pre- and post-sales situations. Understand and solve challenging application problems, by providing the right Watson-Marlow solution. Be the hero of the customer to fulfill his artistic needs. After-sales, responsible for installation and after-sales technical support. Build expertise in troubleshooting and repairing Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group products.

This role will focus on

Client:

  • Be the technical face of WMFTG for clients in allied technology areas, for applications and service support, across industry domains. Solve problems using WMFTG products in their applications. To be considered a “WMFTG Expert”
  • Responsible for servicing WMFTG products within the service center and on site across the country.
  • Willing to travel across the country in order to satisfy customers and solve problems on site.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of customer needs, support with technical details, advantages of current technology and value of the solution, which enables customers to make a wise choice about WMFTG products
  • Perform installations, conduct demos, experiments, and trainings, and share best practices on using and maintaining WMFTG solutions
  • Develop and maintain a long-term relationship with clients
  • Be oriented to the profit center. Create avenues for revenue to flow through maintenance contracts and the sale of services and spare parts. Winning and executing service support orders/contracts. Focus on execution and achieving goals
  • Maintain call logs, service and maintenance schedules and implement major account support plans. Manage service warehouse, tools, parts and service inventory. CRM tool experience will be an advantage
  • Participate jointly with the sales team in strategic customer meetings and technical committee meetings and finalize the order based on need and case resolution. Support customer seminars and participate in user group forums, fairs, trade fairs and meetings of member trade associations. Building and providing technical and applied content for presentations
  • Track the competition. Support sales by analyzing competitors, building closing specifications and bid compliance. Involve the team in value strategies to beat the competition. Work through the entire ecosystem, including but not limited to technical consultants, contractors, OEMs, channels and users. High communication and across all levels within the client organization

Physical Requirements – The physical demands shown here represent those that the employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must pass a physical examination organized by the company. The employee is sometimes asked to sit down; Climbing, balancing, bending over, kneeling, bending or crawling. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required by this job include near vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

To be successful in this role, you will need

Qualifications: Electronics / Electrical Engineer

Experience: 4-8 years working experience repairing Electromechanical Pumps, Positive Displacement Pumps, VFD / Instrumentation. Providing engineering support to clients in this field. Experience in installation, commissioning, IQ/OQ, and on-site repairs of fluid handling products/systems, with knowledge of industry best practices. Proficient in card level repairs in basic mechanical and electronics engineering. Previous experience in shop floor maintenance in the processing industry desirable.

Complexity: Multitasking with applications, installation, field service support, and warehouse repairs. Good management of external and internal clients. Find and expand upon alternatives to any problem – be solution-oriented. The key to your success will be managing customer expectations and bringing joy to their experience with WMFTG.

Decision making: prioritize tasks while maintaining required levels of customer satisfaction. Strike the right balance between cost center objectives and free support. Be dynamic and judicious in using optimal resources to achieve a particular objective.

Contacts: Excellent client relationships, ability to network, and create and bring in a strong reference group. It has a ripple effect on sales through the quality of rich service support.

Team: The ability to work with diverse teams. Interact with application and service teams in European factories. Can forge synergy with the sales team, and actively contribute to the overall success.

The respondent has excellent communication skills with good command of both written and spoken English.
